Become a Member

NEW! It's the start of our new fiscal year, so it's time to renew your membership! Make sure to select the auto-renew option so you're always a member!

Joining the Georgetown Club of Northern California is a great way to stay in touch with local alumni, meet new people, and remain connected to Georgetown. As the Club receives very little financial support from the University, your membership dues directly support the events and programs that the Club runs throughout the year. We are an all-volunteer organization and we couldn't do what we do without your support!

Please support the Club by becoming a member today.

As a member, you receive:
  • Discounted prices on most Club events (the membership pays for itself after just 2-3 events!)
  • First access to some Club events
  • Invitations to Member-only events
  • Discounted price on our Club t-shirt (subject to availability)
  • The right to vote in Club elections and hold a board position
  • The satisfaction of supporting your local Georgetown alumni club
  • .... and more!

Dues are only $30 per year, and membership is good for the remainder of the fiscal year following registration (new fiscal year starts July 1). To become a member or renew your membership, please visit the Georgetown Club of Northern California page and click the red "Become a Member" button. Select auto-renewal option to make sure you're always a member!

Please note that membership is FREE for members of the most recent graduating class (2017). All that we ask is that you register with us at the membership form above so that you're in our system.

If you have any questions, please email us at norcalhoyas@gmail.com.

Thanks and Hoya Saxa!

We send regular broadcast emails through the University's email system to the more than 6,000 Georgetown alumni living in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you live in the Bay Area and would like to receive these updates, the easiest way is to register as a member of the Club!

If you'd prefer not to register at this time, or if you're having difficulty receiving emails, please follow the instructions below:

1) Make sure you have your San Francisco Bay Area address updated through the Georgetown Alumni website at alumni.georgetown.edu

Click on "Alumni Directory" (top right corner of the page), then log in with your NetID and password (click here if you need to retrieve your NetID). This will take you to the Alumni Directory page. On the left side of the page under "Connections" click "My Profile." This will take you to your Personal Profile page for the Alumni Directory. Under "Home Contact Information" make sure your local Bay Area address is updated, and make sure to supply your preferred email address for receiving Club and University emails.

2) Make sure that you haven't opted out of Georgetown broadcast emails.

On your Personal Profile page under "Subscription Management" click on "Edit." There may be a drop-down list for one or more alumni communities. Select "Georgetown Alumni" in the drop-down list. Make sure the box is checked for receiving General Information, and that the other boxes ("Unsubscribe me from all emails from Georgetown Alumni" and "I have opted out by marking community email as spam") are NOT checked.

Please email us at norcalhoyas@gmail.com if you are experiencing difficulties or have any questions. You can also click "Contact Us" on the alumni website (top left of corner of the page) and send the University a message through the website.

And as always, you can keep in touch with us through Facebook and Twitter!

December 11th Hoya Mass at St. Agnes and Reception with Father Kevin O'Brien SJ

We were thrilled to have former Georgetown Jesuit Fr. O'Brien come and preside for mass at St. Agnes Parish In San Francisco.  Fr O'Brien moved to the Bay Area this past summer to work at the Theological Seminary in Berkeley and at Santa Clara University.  We will look forward to many more masses and ministries with him as we now have him locally.  He presides at St. Agnes 1-2 times per month.

The reception held after mass at the Jesuit Center next door to St. Agnes was well attended by Hoya graduates over the last 50 years.  We shared delicious wine and healthy food pairings by our Mission and Ministry coordinator Jess Lioon. Those present also engaged in conversation about our past meet-ups and discussed visions for future alumni events.

If you would like to become more involved in the Mission and Ministry aspect of the Georgetown Alumni Club in Northern California, tell us on facebook or via e-mail at norcalhoyas@gmail.com
