March Madness is Here - All Game Watches at Bus Stop!

Your Georgetown Hoyas have earned the #2 seed in the South region, and will play Florida Gulf Coast on Friday at 3:50pm on TBS. If you can, take the day off early and watch the game alongside fellow NorCal Hoyas at the Bus Stop. Take advantage of Bus Stop's great Happy Hour from 4 to 6pm, as well as their usual Georgetown game specials: $2 off beer buckets, and $1 off beer of the month.

The Bus Stop will be the Game Watch site for ALL Hoyas NCAA Tournament games! If we win on Friday, we will have another Game Watch on Sunday at a time to be determined.

Big East Tournament Week and Other Items!

By "kissing Syracuse goodbye" in DC on Saturday, the Hoyas have won the Big East regular season title for the first time since 2008. They have also secured the #1 seed in this week's Big East Tournament. Yesterday, Otto Porter Jr. was named Big East Player of the Year, and John Thompson III was named Big East Coach of the Year. Great time to be a Hoya!

If the Hoyas win Thursday, Semifinal Game Watch at Bus Stop on Friday, 4pm Pacific, ESPN
If the Hoyas win Friday, Championship Game Watch at Bus Stop on Saturday, 5:30pm Pacific, ESPN

The Hoyas kick off the 2013 Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday at 9am Pacific Time against Cincinnati. If the Hoyas advance,
they will play in the semifinal scheduled for 4pm Pacific on Friday, and we will be at the Bus Stop (1901 Union St.) for this one, so plan accordingly! Finally, if the Hoyas advance on Friday, they will play in the Championship game at 5:30pm Pacific, and we'll be back at the Bus Stop en masse to watch Georgetown hopefully bring down the nets and a trophy. Georgetown game watch specials will be in effect: $2 off beer buckets, and $1 off the beer of the month. Let's Go Hoyas, let's go out on top in the last Big East Tournament as the conference is currently constructed!

NCAA Tournament Plans
Plans for the NorCalHoyas and the 2013 NCAA Tournament will be determined as soon as we find out where and when the Hoyas are placed on Selection Sunday (TV: CBS, 3-4pm Pacific Time). Stay tuned!

Georgetown Alumni Angels Event in New York, Tuesday, March 19
In keeping with the New York theme of the e-mail, the Georgetown Alumni Angels, a new group that helps start-ups, is having a funding event in New York City on Tuesday, March 19. We are fighting for a potential #1 seed in both the Big East and NCAA Tournaments, while Villanova needs a win to improve their NCAA Tournament chances, so it should be a great game. ESPN College Game Day: #5 Hoyas vs.#17 Syracuse at Bus Stop, Saturday, March 9, 9am
Join us for the final game watch of the regular season, as the Hoyas hope to close the doors on their storied rivalry with Syracuse with their second victory over the Orange in two weeks. We will be at Bus Stop bright and early at 9am, so set those alarm clocks! Also, ESPN's College Game Day crew will be filming live at Verizon Center for the first time in Georgetown history, from 7-8am on ESPNU, then from 8-9am on ESPN. Rutgers Game Watch at Bus Stop, Tomorrow, March 2, 6pm
Come get a kick start to your Saturday night at 6pm at Bus Stop (1901 Union St.) as the #7 Hoyas, fresh off a double-overtime thriller over UConn (thank you, Otto Porter) take on Rutgers on ESPNU. The Big East leading Hoyas are going for their 11th consecutive victory! As always, the Georgetown Game Specials at Bus Stop are: $2 off beer buckets, $1 off beer of the month.

Women's Lacrosse at Stanford on Tuesday, March 5, 4pm
If you're in the Palo Alto area, come support Georgetown women's lacrosse as they return to the Bay Area for the first time in 10 years. The game will be played at Stanford's lacrosse stadium on campus, and admission is free. Wear your blue and gray to support the lady laxers and Go Hoyas!

My Step, Her Stride 5K at Fort Mason on Saturday, March 16
Join us in suporting the inaugural My Step, Her Stride 5K in San Francisco, presented by Women for Women International. One of the event co-chairs, Deanne Travis, is a Georgetown alum, and we are putting together a Georgetown team to support this great cause. For more information, check out the website here.
