Volunteer | Exploring the Possibilities (First Graduate)

Wednesday, May 12, 6:00-7:30 pm,
Bay School of San Francisco in the Presidio

You’re invited to participate in “Exploring the Possibilities” a career exploration event for high school students in collaboration with local alumni clubs. We are looking for volunteers interested in developing creative, collaborative 30-minute presentations along with 1-2 other presentation partners. These partners could be either other alumni, or coworkers of yours who might also be interested in participating.

We are especially interested in volunteers from the following fields: Architecture, The Arts, Fashion, and Entertainment, Law, Engineering, Tech and Gaming, Medicine.

Afterward, presenters are invited to join us for drinks and hors d'oeuvres to meet and network with each other. Last year, we had over 20 presenters participate and over 70 students attend. This year, we're hoping to increase those numbers to 30 presenters and 100 students!

If you are interested in participating, please contact
Rachel Alexander by April 9. Thank you for your support!

Based in San Francisco, First Graduate helps students finish high school and become the first in their families to graduate from college. First Graduate makes a 10-year commitment to its students, from 7th grade through the completion of college, supporting their progress through a comprehensive set of services. As many first-generation college-bound students have limited exposure to different professions and the educational background necessary for those jobs, career exploration activities play a pivotal role in helping them understand the value of a college degree and stay motivated to complete their education.

They distribute 25,000 Night Night Packages each year, free of charge, to homeless children from birth to pre-teen who need the childhood essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant.
