Each year the Board of Governors, (the governing body of the Georgetown University Alumni Association), bestows a number of awards. While you are probably most familiar with the John Carroll and Patrick Healy Awards, other awards are bestowed on alumni of the Dental School, the Medical School, the Graduate School, Main Campus and on alumni and faculty who have made outstanding contributions to the Association and the University.
The Board of Governors Awards Committee is pleased to announce its annual call for nominations for the Georgetown University Alumni Association’s Service Recognition Awards (Apollonian, Founders, Gaston, Reed, and Faculty), as well as the John Carroll and Patrick Healy Awards to all members of Georgetown University community. Additionally, the Awards Committee is proud to announce the creation and call for nominations for the 1820 Graduate Award recognizing our graduate school alumni and the now annual Timothy S. Healy, S.J. Award honoring alumni humanitarian service.
For nomination forms, award descriptions and a list of past award recipients, please visit the Georgetown Alumni Online at alumni.georgetown.edu or contact Ashley Stone at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Award recipients will be decided at the 2009 Fall Leadership Weekend with awards bestowed during the 2010 Alumni Association Service Recognition Awards Banquet at the Winter Leadership Weekend in late winter. The John Carroll and Patrick Healy Awards will be bestowed in Washington, DC over the 2010 John Carroll Weekend, April 22 to 25, 2010. The location and date of the bestowing of the Timothy S. Healy, S.J. Award will be decided at a later date.
The final date for submission is Monday, July 27, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. (EDT). Please visit alumni.georgetown.edu and click on “Alumni Awards Nominations Now Open” for more information. We look forward to your participation in this year's nominations process.
