Thanks to everyone that came out to the Three Monkeys wine tasting event last week at the Ferry Building. We've heard lots of great feedback from the more than 200 attendees ranging from recent grads to alums from Classes in the '60s! Here's a recap.
Three Monkeys Wine was founded by three Georgetown classmates from the Class of 1988 who met in Darnall Hall - Frank Bellizzi (C'88), Jamie O'Hara (C'88, L'92), and Tom Van Leuven (C'88). We had a beautiful location inside a true San Francisco treasure, the Ferry Building. Overlooking the Bay, Treasure Island and the Easy Bay, our very own Jack McDonald (C'88, L'93), a 2009 recipient of the William Gaston award, secured the location.
Bellizzi and O'Hara were both on hand to pour their wines and share their story with the crowd. They sell directly to the customer at wholesale cost and give 10 percent to charities that support children in need. One of charities is for a co-founder of Three Monkeys, Tom Van Leuven's Children's Trust.
Frank asked us to thank those who attended and those who have already ordered. He was happy to report that our event accounted for one of their highest sales event to date! Nice work Hoyas!
If you're interested in ordering some wine you can also place your order online, by going to: www.threemonkeyswine.com. Thanks again for making this such a great event!
